Nov. 6, 7 2004, Lexington, Ky. How do you describe the memory of a perfect weekend with some of the finest people you have ever met? The weather was warm and sunny, the food excellent and the riding was beautiful to watch. The list of thanks is endless, to our chief referee Hans Kallenburger serving out his apprenticeship under referee extradinaire Jim Dunn; to scorers Maisie Durwood and Tracey McVittie; to set up crew Paul Greiling, the incredible Harmon family, Sharon Scruggs and the rest of the phenomenal Carolina clan, Bob Benson, the Spitfires, the S&S Remix, Carolina Heat/Dennis the Menace, the Textor family,to Laura Phillips, did a spectacular job of keeping ribbons and prizes ready to hand out; to Cindy Miller (who planned the magnificent feast for lunch on Saturday and Sunday aided by Nora Benson and Donna York; to Susie Warne, the Margaritavilles, and Kristen Textor, who did a slick job of announcing over the weekend, to Betts Montgomery who helped out everywhere, and last and most importantly to LeAn Benevento, who had the thankless job of taking registrations and working in the office the entire weekend and who did it better than anyone else have ever attempted to.

As you can tell it takes as many people helping as it does riding to put on a weekend like this, people whose names do not appear here but who served as judges, line referees, coaches and in other unnoticed roles. You have the gratitude of everyone who rode at and enjoyed the Finale.
